Our Master Framer, Gerald Haefelin, grew up and had his apprenticeship in Geneva, Switzerland. He trained under Swiss, French, and other European Master picture framers.
One of the old world, traditional Swiss techniques for making and adorning picture frames is to hand engrave and paint the wood frame moulding. Using Ashwood, he engraves designs specifically to the customers needs to match the piece of art. Then paints it to match the art or the customers home decor.
